Chicken Teryaki… mmmm….

Happy Wednesday one n’ all. This weekend is my sisters reception, finally. I’m still working on el slide show to make all the parent types oh and ah. I’ll get it done. No Prob. I’m the man. Meh. Sunday is fathers day, as you all know. There’s a BBQ at my g-parents house to do what dads do best… watch sports, drink non-alcoholic beer and take a manly nap on the sofa in 3rd quarter. Nah, should be fun. I only get to see my dad once every month or so… I’m looking forward to it.

Umm…. not sure what else to talk about… LOOK OUT! ABOVE YOU! A FLYING MONKEY!!!

You – *you throw your head skyward in panic*
Me – *tip toes away*

Bored at lunch again…

Yeah, another day without lunch. My fault tho. I mean, yeah I don’t have money. Someone offered to lend me money… but it doesn’t matter that much to me. Meh, one less fast food burger in my belly.

A new Oblivian trailer came out yesterday. Such a pretty video game! They also have Patrik Stewart as one of the voice acters 😀 SO you know it’s GOTTA be cool! They also posted new screen shots.

In other news Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (that movie I was raiving about a month or so ago) comes out this September. Happy Birthday ME! Don’t know if it’s going streight to DVD or if they’ll try the theater thing again(their last FF movie flopped)… I just know that it’ll be damn cool and send shivers down my spine.

Um… my sister is merried now… in case you didn’t know. She did that last Saturday. Not really a big deal I guess. She has a dif. last name, that’s about all that’s different about her in my eyes.

I’m still reading that damned A+ book. SO dull. Hard to stay awake while reading… but I’m pushing through it slowly but surely.

Umm… DOH! How could I forget?? I’m taking a trip to Medford two weekends from now, sunday-tuesday. Justin’s band is opening for Presidents of the United States of America. No way I’m going to miss that! w00t! Looking forward to it.

Anyway… I’m done typing for now… soo… I’m going to go… over there… bye

Holy Sunday Batman!!

It’s been a busy day. Woke up, with Lindsay. She spent the night, in an innocent way. FYI, we’ve been around eachother quite a bit over a few weeks without any inter-active melt-downs. We’ve had fun times, and I don’t just mean physically. She complained about how I was venting about her earlier on in my live journal, but I never say anything good. So there you have it, something a little more personal than I usually like to give 😉

Anyway, we went to breakfast with Justin and Sara. I had this great omlette. So good. Yummy. Then we took Lindsay back to the appartment so she could take her car back home… she had to work. The rest of us went in search of the place Justin’s band, Three Day GirlFriend, was going to play. It’s this little saloon in portland near burnside. Anyway, Justin wasn’t feeling so hot, so I dropped them off back at their hotel and went home to crash myself.

A couple of hours later Jessica and Luc came over for a little get-together. We had yummy ribs and watched Patch Adams. I love that movie. After dinner I went back to the saloon where Justin and the band were waiting to set up. I sat around and talked to Sara while Justin exerted nervous energy on the Astroids machine and a beer. They finally set up, sound tested and played.

Three Day GirlFriend is a metal like band… sort of… don’t know how to classify them. It consists of Justin: uber drummer, Josh: Vocals, Dan: Guitar 1, Carrey: Guitar 2, and P..aul?: Bass. I always have troubles remembering his name because I don’t talk to him much. Anyway, they sounded pretty good. I was a little disapointed though because the sound wasn’t mixed right(I think). I wasn’t able to hear the details in the guitar or bass parts. Most of the time it just hit you as a wall of chorded noise changing in sink. Some of their songs have rad, distinked riffs; but I could barely pick them out this time around. I also couldn’t really understand what Josh was singing… but I guess that’s normal.

Anyway, now my ears are ringing like mad, I’m tired, I’m going to bed. Peace out everybody.

Thursdays…

Well, I still can’t do anything to the site. WTF is taking so long? It’s been about 5 days now. Oh well, gives me a chance to read Te of Piglet. It’s the “companion book” to Tao of Pooh. Both are very good books. Anyway… nothing much else to tell. I work therefore I am. I guess I’ll update about the rest of my weekend since I have 15 minutes left for lunch and nothing better to do.

Saturday nightI got talked into heading to Monmouth at 10:30pm. Didn’t get there till like 11:15ish. Lindsay, Erin and I headed to the school loung/food/pool/huge TV with SNL on it room. We sat about for a good five minutes waiting for Erins friends to show their faces. They did show their faces, as well as their pajamas. So we all took turns poking the white ball with our givin’ sticks, trying to get other balls of various color to go into yonder hole. Erin didn’t play, she just watched. Because she was a pooper. I think we only played 3 games, no one but me wanted to play in the first place. So then we sat in the chairs next to the pool table talking to eachother. I got a little better aquainted with Erins friends-not not aquainted enough to remember their names. One was a happy girl who bought me a soda with her student card that I think her parents, or the government pay for. It was a nice gesture non-the-less, I enjoyed my 7up very much, thank you if you’re out there. She also told me about the land she’s from, over yonder hills and where it’s much colder than Monmouth was that perticular night. Erin’s friend number two talked about computer stuff more than an average girl usually does. She was entertaining as well. But alas, all must go our own ways… besides, Erin wasn’t feeling like herself. So we went back to Erins. Lindsay and I introduced her to a few known Flash cartoons. Then we went to bed. Erin in hers(even tho she said I could use her bed before I came… lier), Lindsay on the couch. Then there was me on the floor with two blankets, a pillow, and a very noisy space heater. In the morning Lindsay and I went home. I put a orange cone on Erins antena before departing.

Almost time to get back… LIGHTNING ROUND!! Went bowling with Dad, Jessi, and Luc. Then go pizza. Then go Pool. Then go home. Then go crazy! Work time! BYE!

Happy New Yeah!!

It is 2005, and I am so there! lol. Went to Luke’s house for new years eve. In case any one who reads my posts doesn’t know, my sister is engadged to this guy Luke. She was there too, obviously, as well as Lindsay and Lukes roomie Brendon. It wasn’t a very exciting time… we drank champaign and watched Dodge Ball, this one Garden movie with Natalie Portman and the dude from scrubs, and finally Collateral. In other words, it wasn’t unlike any other night… save for in between movies we watched the ball drop in Time Square… three house after it actually dropped, obviously. lol, I talked to my friend, Miki, the Eve of New years Eve and she was in the process of celebrating new years. Her family lives in Japan, so that’s where she is for the Christmas break.

Yesterday was rather fun. I didn’t do much the first half of the day… bought printer ink, bird seed and corn on el cob. I came back to play with my new game controller until Lindsay brought me back to the real world. We went to look at cars, cuz she wrecked hers 😉 She hates it when I say that. But it was fun… just going from used car lot to used car lot on 82nd-there’s like 3.8 million of them over there-avoiding car sales people who want to tell us their life story and mainly looking at cars. I need a new car too, remember?

Anyway, after that we went back to her house and ripped the lights off her christmas tree… all 9 strands of them! ONE TREE! Intricately wrapped around each and every little twig! At least I smell pine fresh now. Finally we headed over to Jess’s house-friend girl Jess-picked her up and went to see The Aviator. I liked the movie. I’d rarely even heard of Howard Hughs before this movie. What and interesting guy/story! It was wierd because he was a little crazy; by a little crazy I mean he would repeate the same thing 29 and a half times and he had that germ phobia. A good movie to see once, I think.

Yesterday… all my troubles seem so far away…now it looks as tho they’re here to stay…

Well, been a couple of days. I’m on book three of the book seriese I’m reading… I also am at level 10 in Morrowind. Something to be proud of, to be sure. I should get a raise for it, I think 😉

Hmm… sister came over yesterday. She and mom made stockings. I made pudding… we had spageti. It was a nice, relaxing day off.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I almost died today. My car has this thing with the transmission where 4th gear doens’t work… rather than shifting to 4th it sifts to 1st. Anyway, I got out to get the mail today… without thinking I put the car into drive. All is fine until I get to the freeway. Bad times. Since 3rd comes before 4th, I’m going around 45 before it downshifts to 1st. So my transmission instantly over heats and locks up, which means my tires completely STOPED TURNING! I was in the second lane from the right, still not completely on the freeway of this particular on ramp, and since there was a staggering light before I got on there were no cars around me. Anyway, skidding to a stop from 45mph is no fun. Without rolling back tires you pretty much either just keep the car going the way it’s going… or spin. This didn’t occur to me as I instinktively turned right to get the heck off the road… AKA, spin we go! Amazingly I managed a 180 degree skid neatly parked on the right side of the road. I was facing oncomming traffic, but at least I was out of the way. I sat there for a couple minutes thinking about what to do… a few things popped in my head, none of them any good from the stand point of being broke and having expired tags. I turned the car back on put it in 3rd -the gear I’m supposed to use my car in- and hammered it. With a loud THUNK the transmission freed itself. I calmly turned the car around when traffic was gone… and here I am. Safe at work. 🙂

There We Go

There, isn’t that better? That’ll do until I have my own page with 100% control of EVERYTHING… bwahaha

Anyway, last-day/night was a time filled with LOTR goodness. Jessi Sister, Lindsay, and Erin came over to watch the new and in blue Return of el King on a TV. A very good addition… much LOTR goodness. Not much to say… I’m not very talkative at the moment. I made pizza and PBJ tortia rolls(yuck! TO much jam!). Anyway, they went home after a time… and I was left to read my book.

Nothing particularily interesting happened today… work was work. I’m pretty into my book tho… I was up until 2 last night reading. I love these kinds of books. Fantasy set in Mid-Evil ages, with wizards and seemingly average people finding out they’re capable of un-imaginable things. In a way it makes me wonder if I was born in the wrong erra. If I were born back then what wuold I have been? Maybe a knight for a good-natured king… skilled with a blade and bow. Or a wanderer/adventurer sleeping out doors and helping people along the way with odd tasks in exchange for a bed and some food. Riding horses, which I’ve never done but would some day like to. Times seem simpler then… even though I know it probably wasn’t while in the moment. A romantisized view, the grass is always greener… that sort of thing. *sigh* I love books… they take me away from where I am while I’m waiting for time to pass around me. I doubt we’ll see a better time machine.

Well, Garion(main character in the book) is stuck mid-conversation, I should let him move on.
